Cleaning blood stains from a car seat?

How do you do it. Unfortunately I dont have a hand held carpet cleaner or anything. SHould I get it done professionally?

I had an emergency at work yesterday, my co worker got a deep cut (hit an artery or something!) :( and I was the only one available to drive him to the hospital. He tried best he could but some still got onto my passenger car seat.

Thank you!

  1. Use Hydrogen Peroxide it cost about a $1 about. You can drop small amounts on area it will foam up and dry you can clean it with a dry cloth.

You can do this as many time as you need until it stops foaming that means all the blood is out.

Good thing about Hydrogen Peroxide it won't matter how old the blood is.

  2. use cold water and baking soda..

  3. Ok, take some peroxide and dump it right on the seat.  Then use a towel to lift (not rub... so tap the spot) until you get it out.  Peroxide will oxidize the blood and help you pull it out.  Use COLD water inbetween pouring the peroxide to pull more of it out (hot water will set the stain) depending on how old it is... will depend on how easily you will get it out.  However, peroxide is the best thing for cleaning up blood and it is super cheap!  Good luck!

  4. Because this was work related I would check with your company to see if they would pay to get it cleaned. If not the peroxide others mentioned will probably work the best.
