  1. After each hit use a towell to wipe them off.

Once a week or in bad course conditions, I get a 3 gallon bucket of water and fill it 3/4 full of water.

I sink all my irons in there. I use a soft bristled tooth brush to clean the grooves. and wipe them clean with a damp wash cloth. I then towell them dry.

For woods and hybrids, I wipe clean with the wash cloth and towell dry.

Mine still look great and I play 2-3 times a week most of the year

  2. Carry a club towel attached to your golf bag. Wet a small portion of the towel with water and clean the club face after every shot. Dry it with the dry portion of the towel and put the club back in your bag. In this manner your club will always be ready for use . You can also carry a small brush if you wish but the towel treatment  is really all you need.

  3. There isn't much point in having grooves on the face of your club if they are filled with dirt and grass.  Best to clean the club after each shot.  Just use damp towel.  After the round you can dunk them in a bucket as many here have mentioned, or just run under the faucet and use a soft brush to get all dirt out.  Wipe dry.  By keeping them fairly clean during the round post round clean up will only take 5-10 minutes.

  4. Just use the towel every couple shots or on divot shots to get the dirt off.  I use a metal bristle brush thats sold in the golf equipment, thats sold in the golf equipment, every couple rounds to get the finer stuff.  I also use a car wax or somekind of wax to get the ball marks off my driver.

  5. ME PERSONALLY, CLEAN THE CLUB RIGHT AFTER I HIT THEM IN THE COURSE.

IN THE DRIVING RANGE, I TRY TO HIT THE CLUB ATLEAST 10 TIMES THEN PUT IT IN THE WATER BUCKET, THEN CLEAN THEM.

    THE CLUBS WON'T BE RUSTING.

IF YOU PLAY GOLF IN THE RAIN, THEY WILL RUST WHEN THE STEEL MATERIAL IS NOT CARBON

  6. Clean your irons after every round in a bucket with dishwashing soap and a nylon scrub brush.

You can scrub the bottom of your driver and other woods/hybrids with the same mixture, but don't scrub the painted portion, just submerge the woods in the water, run them under some water, and dry them off.

  7. Hi,

All of the above answers are good advice - when you are done cleaning your clubs dry them with a dry towel.

Over time your grooves on your clubs will close up and squash together making cleaning them  a harder chore. What I do is regroove my clubs around once a month - more if you are a very regular player. There are several regrooving tools on the market - I got mine from here:-

If you live in a tropical climate you may want to lightly oil your irons/wedges - a real hassle I know - but it will keep your clubs in pristine condition.

    Hope this helps !

    Ciao !!
