Question:

Cleaning laminated flooring

Do you use a special cleaner as the man that just fitted the flooring said don't use water on it.

  1. hi mate you can use cleaning product, dont get the floor to wet make sure you sweep the floor befor you mop.all the best.


  2. I just use an ordinary kitchen floor cleaner (cif) diluted in water and wrung out so that the cloth/mop is only just wet, I am sure it will be ok as long as you don't saturate it.

  3. Laminate flooring is a low maintenance floor. Laminate does not need to be waxed.

    Sweeping and the use of a Swifter should be all you will need.  If you choose to mop you floor - just remember that Laminate does not like any liquid sitting on it for a period of time.  Your mop should be damp and wrung out - not  "swapping the deck!"

  4. Use a sponge on it with floor cleaner should be ok.

  5. You can get specialised laminated floor cleaners. You can use a slightly damp cloth etc.

  6. i use dettol spray and mop....no water, no rinsing...very easy
