I noticed my laptop screen is pretty dirty. I've only had it for a little over a month now. It came with a soft fabric thing to whipe it. But on the screen theres still like spots and stuff. What could I use or do to clean this. I'm scared of messing up my screen.

  1. Iso-propyl alcohol. The little dots are oil and/or dried sugar from food or something. Alcohol cuts through it easily, doesn't damage the screen, and leaves no residue/streaks done right.

  2. soft and very smooth cloth.  or you can buy monitor cleaning kits with the liquid and the brush for about $15

you can just take a plain white shirt to clean it, it won't do any damage if you clean it carefully, just wipe the surface gently if you don't have the cleaning kit.

  3. Shut down the computer.

    # Disconnect power to the system or monitor.

    # Wipe the LCD screen gently with a soft, dry cloth.

  4. Damp paper towel... Just put it under water along with Mr Clean or Detergent... or so something like that... then ring it out so only a small percent of the paper towel is wet... Won't mess up your screen at all... works perfect

    Hope I Helped,

    Matt

  5. I've used the spray and cloth which are sold for cleaning spectacles with some success.

  6. there are cleaners you can buy and slightly wet wetnaps made just for screens i'd defiantly look into these products
