Cleaning rust of stainles steal?

I have a new military tactic knife and it has very small dots of rust on the blade. I tried cleaning it with Metholated spirits but that didnt do much any tips?

I find that Comet cleanser is great on stainless steel. I use it on my kitchen pans...never tried it on a military knife but if it works for my skillets...maybe it will work for your knife.

You will need to polish it off with a non-iron abrasive. Might try emory cloth in a very fine grit. Make sure you can clean it off and not spread it further or it will rust again.
