Cleaning sick off mattress?

my little boy threw his bottle up before all over my new mattress eek. how can i clean it so it doesn't leave a stain bearing in mind also that I have to sleep in it tonight? Thanks

A mini steam cleaner will do the trick and it will leave the mattress virtually dry.

Baking soda and warm water will do wonders for the odor of the mattress.  Don't focus too much on the stain as a sheet will cover it, just try to get as much out as you can and then focus on the smell.  Use a clean white cloth and soak it in baking soda and water, wring out and blot down on the area pressing (don't rub).  Repeat again and again until the smell has gone.  You might have to do it again in a few months if it's really soaked in as there is not way to clean inside a mattress and as the vomit is mostly milk, it's going to keep growing for a little while yet.

my answer wont help much if u need to sleep on it tonight, but i have had the same problem before and i used vanish stain remover spray left it on for a little while, then just scrubbed it a bit. it all came off, without a stain, and then finish it with a spray of febreeze. but im sure if u need it for tonight it will be too wet, but u could put a towel under the sheet for tonight? or turn it over so u dont have a wet patch?
