What is the best method to polish silver coins without scratching them?

  1. use baking soda, just pour some on a paper towel, rub the coin with the powder, and then just wipe it off with a piece of toilet tissue, i clean my silver rings like that, it works and it leaves them really shiny, they won't get damaged, clean them with something soft like the toilet tissue i mentioned...


  2. If these silver coins are "collectibles" that are of value, then they should of been in protective plastic sleeves from the moment you purchased them. You really shouldnt attempt to clean these as doing so could possibly damage them. Do yourself a favor - find a very reliable coin dealer near you

    (one with a good reputation,comes well recommended) and ask how to protect your investment now and for the future. And then buy the protective/display products for them!

  3. There is none, one does not polish collectible coins period. You will cause microscopic scratches called hair lines and they can be seen with a coin lupe. Shinny is not always good. Best way to lose money is to clean or polish coins.
