Cleaning up the school ideas?

hi im a high school student.. and the club i am in took part in cleaning up our school. we went around the school picking up trash.

our principal was really impressed with this, and encouraged usto extend it somehow.

we don't feel that going around picking up trash is the most effective way to do this, so, if anyone has any ideas, please respond !!

Good Job to you. Keep it up. I do pick up trash and I put it inside the green recycle bin at a high school I worked out. I want y'all have a compost bin for the grass. Good Luck and keep on trying your best.

Think about something that has special meaning to your school or community.

I don't know where you live, but work on an issue that people care about.  Maybe if you live in Arizona, work on a project to conserve water (like a sample rock garden).  If you live somewhere where energy costs are high (like California) work on a project to conserve energy or show people how to conserve energy.

Picking up trash is a great way to start.  Now, dig in to an issue with more immediate relevance and you will get noticed even more!

First of all - Good for you!!!!!  You should be proud of caring and trying to make a difference.

what about a flower bed with native plants.  use it as a conservation statement and it will make the school prettier.

There is nothing wrong with picking up trash.  Do it all the time.  People see you do it and that encourages others to take pride.
