  1. I know one poster said the Clorox wouldn't hurt your shrubs and plants, but it nearly killed my boxwood.  Throw a plastic drop cloth over your shrubs and grass next to the house when you do the washing.  As long as it doesn't land on the foliage, it won't do so much damage to your landscaping.

  2. I would not use TSP on vinyl siding. It is designed to be used for interior walls mostly. It will most likely strip the protective finish off the vinyl which is designed to protect it from sunshine. It will most likely make your siding really dull in appearance too. I would get a product that is designed for that application. If you really want to give it a shot, test it on an inconspicuous area where its hidden from view. TSP is also very corrosive and any splashing from applying the product will burn you skin and eyes.

  3. When i wash the siding on my house i always use outdoor formula clorox it is more of a gel than a liquid. Dilute it down with water agout three gallons of water to a cup of the outdoor formula. it doesn't make a film and it is perfectly safe on the grass and outdoors.
