I have read some of the answers to this question but they do not work. I want to delete everything that I typed in the search bar with the YELLOW Web Search at the end on the main Yahoo page.

  1. Click the green button and use clear recent searches.

  2. Click on the avatar head next to the green cross. There click on clear recent searches

  3. There are other ways, but the directions will be different depending on which browser you're using. This works no matter which browser you are using. If you want to clear the searches from the search box menu on Yahoo or Google pages, double click the search box, this will make a menu drop down with your searches, put your cursor on what you want to delete to highlight it, hit the delete button on your keyboard. If you want to delete everything just hold the delete button down until everything is deleted.

If you have the older Yahoo! Toolbar, click the pencil icon beside the search box and click Clear Recent Searches.

If you have the the new Yahoo! Toolbar, click the Settings (avatar) button located next to the Bookmarks Button and click Clear Recent Searches.

  4. For Internet Explorer:Click on Tools. Then Internet Options. Click on Content and then Auto Complete. Then click on Clear Forms. This will erase your search history. If you don't want things showing up again in your search history then deselect the Auto Complete options at the top. Be sure to select apply or ok at the bottom.
