Question:

Clear blue fertility monitor?

Looking to buy a monitor. Clear blue website suggests not to share or get used because it saves data. Does taking batteries out and replacing not clear the information? Opinions of users please. Has anyone had success with this? Looking for experiences-we're TTC #2 since Jan with no luck.

  1. Good luck, my husband and i have been trying 18 months, no luck either! Yeah, I've been thinking about getting one but they are so much! If you find out something let me know! good luck and lots of babydust

  2. I actually have 1 bought new and 2 that were used.  Sorry not selling them yet.   I use all three and all three read the same results (the used ones detected the surges the same day my new one does).   I got pregnant twice using them.  No, you don't need 3, I use 3 due to my ttc problems.

The great thing about these monitors is that is actually takes the reading of the Estrogen and LH and looks for both to surge.  So even though it was stored info on anothers cycle, it's only a reference point but will rely on what your body is producing.  If it still concerns you, I was told there is a way to reset them but I don't know if you need to send it in.  You could also buy one from someone who has the same length of cycle days as you.  But I really wouldn't worry about it.  My two used ones have worked perfect since I first used them.

If it was a big issue then women with irregular cycles wouldn't be able to use these.

Be sure to bd at least every 24-48 hrs when it reaches level 2 and bd on level 3 and day after (monitor will show it also as a level 3).

  3. Yes you can reset them! The company just doesn't want to lose money. You can buy them on Ebay.com for like $50!
