Clear retainers in ocean?

I got my braces off a few weeks ago and now have the clear retainers on my teeth. I'm at the beach (YAY). is it safe to wear them in the water or should I take them out?

Keep wearing your retainers. I got my braces off last year and my teeth are still straight. Most people I know stopped wearing their retainers and their teeth are crooked now. Just keep your mouth closed while youre in the water

its pefectly fine, as long as you take it out before u eat and make sure u buy something to clean it with at night once in a while ;D.

Hello...actually it's perfectly safe to wear your retainer as long as you keep your mouth shut....now we know that may be asking a whole lot so be on the safe side and take it out and put it in a safe place...you don't want a strange fish to end up wearing your retainer...good luck and I wish you well.,,,,By the way..I have made an average of ten dental appliance replacements per summer for several years due to mishaps at the lake or beach....and you would be surprised how many of those included full dentures....Good luck and I wish you well.
