On your Yahoo toolbar,at the left upper corner of your screen there is a little yellow pencil, click that and then click clear search history!

There are various ways to clear the history depending which Yahoo Toolbar you have.

Adjust your settings on your search bar. There should be a "pencil" on older Yahoo toolbars.....or the word  "Settings" on newest version.

With the new version you can clear recent searches on the Settings or go to toolbar options and check Auto-clear recent searches when exiting IE. If you have the older version toolbar for Yahoo you may be able to clear searches this way also.

You can also adjust your Search Preferences in http://search.yahoo.com

under My web click the edit link and look for " Turn on My Search History to remember search results I click on so I can easily retrieve them. (I can always clear My Search History at any time.)".  Uncheck that box.

To clear the search history from the search bar menu on Yahoo! or Google pages, double click the search bar, this will make a menu drop down with your searches, put your cursor on what you want to delete to highlight it, hit the delete button on your keyboard. If you want to delete everything just hold the delete button down until everything is deleted.

To clear the search history on Yahoo! Toolbar, click the blue down arrow on the right side of the search bar and on the top of the drop down menu click Options and click Clear Search History.
