Question:

Clearer vision when looking sideways?

My vision isn't great. The prescription numbers are Left: .50

and Right:1.25. I don't wear glasses all the time, just during class. But last night I realized that if I turn my head sideways from what I'm looking at, and then look over towards it, it's a lot clearer.

Oh, and I'm a 15-year-old girl.

  1. Well, looking sideways can be a sign that one eye is better.  In children (like your cousin) this should be checked out to make sure she doesn't have a lazy eye or refractive error.  I'd suggest she see an optometrist just to make sure.

In your case, your left eye is better than your right, so looking to your left may seem clearer because you are using mostly your left eye.  Otherwise, I'd bring it up with your optometrist next time you get a checkup.
