Clearing Internet History?

When I clear my internet history, the "url toolbar" and "pages that I visited today" will have nothing in it.

However, when I type an alphabet into the url, there is a website address that I visited in the past. But I have cleared the history, so why is it still like that?

  1. Um  ... it does delete all your recently visited websites but you need to clear your temporary internet files also not just your history.


  2. Maybe you have a toolbar helper like google or yahoo or something of that sort.

  3. Have you tried cleaning up the cache and cookies as well? That should work.

    Okay

    1) hit the tools button at the top of your internet expoler page

    2) click on internet options,

    3) click the clear hisroty button..then

    4)click the delete cookies button

    5)click the delete files button and tick the box

    there you go...now no more looking at naughtys!

  5. yeah... maybe you shouldn't be going to some of those sites.... if you have firefox, get "stealther" turn it on, and it auto deletes downloads, history, recent pages, closed tabs, closed windows, cookies, anything i missed....

  7. Hey youngfellow go to Tools>Internet Options>Cookies>Temporary Internet Files>Delete Cookies .

    Your Problem will be solved .

  8. go in tools menu the click "clear history" then click in "content" tab then click in AutoComplete  the select "web addresses" "Forms" User names and passwords on forms" then click "clear forms" and Clear password"

    never forget to delete cookies also.

  9. did you delete the cookies in the internet properties if not that is the problem
