i have had my laptop for about a year and i have a lot of stuff installed that i no longer want or ever wanted, so i was wondering is it possible to totally remove all programs except windows (VISTA 32 bit) and documents etc. all i want is just the windows install [and necessary programs that windows needs but nothing for the user].

i don't know if what i'm asking is possible but thanks for any help offered.

  1. Install CCleaner and use it's excellent program removal tool - it will take a while to uninstall all that you do not need but the end result is worth it.

  2. you can reformat your hard drive and do a fresh install if you have the vista software ?

if not go to control panel add/reomve programs and remove them all :) and delete personal files etc

    the first way quicker

the second is a pain :P

  3. You create your own recovery disk for pre-installed windows so you can re-install your system incase it crashes.you can also use a file called 'sysprep' to re-install preloaded windows, search for it.
