Clement Chantome ready for Salzburg encounter in UEFA Europa League – Ligue 1 news
Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Clement Chantome has recovered from an injured knee and will be available for the UEFA Europa League encounter against FC Red Bull Salzburg.
Clement has played four Ligue 1 games for PSG so far and also played the UEFA Europa League playoffs against Differdange 03. The 24-year-old Frenchman had a good pre-season, where he scored a goal and provided an assist in three games.
Les Parisiens coach Antoine Kombouare might induct him in the match against Die Bullen as the Sens native is capable of moving forward as well as playing in front of the defence.
In an interview to French publication, Le Parisiens, the Kanak coach was quoted saying, “The idea is to bring the best team with the most experienced players at the moment. All the players want to play, but it’s up to me [to decide the playing XI].”
Regarding the mindset of the team, Kombouare said, “We enter European Cup competition with the ambition to go as far as possible. We must start with a victory because we want to qualify for the Round of 16.”
