The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder has had a peculiar 2012/2013 season with the cash-laden club but that has not disappointed him by any means
Neither a starting XI man or a regular substitute, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international Clement Chantome has made 28 appearances in all competition for Ligue 1 leaders, Paris Saint-Germain. However, there is no denying the fact that the 25-year-old has had a good season.
Always there when Carlo Ancelotti needed someone solid in midfield, Chantome has been at PSG ever since he was a young wide-eyed prospect. Despite some strong competition, he has managed to hold his own.
And, while talking to France Bleu, Chantome said that he always wanted to finish the whole season at PSG and never really wanted to move in during the January transfer window.
“My playing time? I decided to spend the whole season in July, I did not take the winter transfer window in my head.”
The native of Sens’ agent put the club under a lot of pressure but Chantome chose to be a man who makes his own decisions and maintains that he is not going to complain about game time.
“I still played a lot since the beginning of the season. I’m not going to complain.”
However, Chantome has revealed that he will be having a meeting with the club leaders by the end of the current campaign in order to see what his future holds for him. Under contract until June 2015, Chantome is still not worried about his current status
at the club and will not let any other thing hold him down.
“We will talk about all this later in the season with the leaders,” said the PSG academy product.
However, with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Blaise-Matuidi-c7681 in the team, Chantome knows that he faces a lot of competition for a place in Carlo Ancelotti’s starting XI. With each passing day, the club’s ambitions grow loftier and Chantome
is aware of the fact that playing for such a club has a big price which means that he will most certainly ponder about a move sooner or later as the club’s owners look to bring in more stars in the future.
