  1. I hope not because that is disgusting thought.

  2. it used to happen but all the kitchens i`ve worked in it hasn`t happened,

there`s been some mouldy chicken, decaying mince and even oven cleaner in the big fryer but never spitting in the pans

unfortunately the above is truein one particular restuarant i didn`t work there for long it was disgusting

  3. DEFINITELY NOT

it will 'spit' back at you if you did.

  4. My hubby trained as a chef - he splashes a touch of water in there!! I think this is really dangerous tho!

Never heard of the spitting thing..

  5. Wow, I hope not.

  6. Anything that can survive that kind of heat, deserves to live!!!!

  7. no, as a chef we use oil in a pan not spit!!

smoking oil in a pan can tell me its hot. no need to spit on it as well.

  8. I can't speak for the general public but we do little else in Salford.  As a matter of fact it's a popular pass time.  So if you come to Salford to eat, and you're a bit fussy always ask for a new frying pan

  9. what a disgusting thought...absolutely not - i would sack my chef if i saw her doing anything so filthy!!

  10. Well it is better than them pissing in the d**n pot.

  11. Probably not true, but even if it is true there's nothing to worry about because the heat of the fat in the pan will sterilise any bacteria.......

  12. The principle of seeing if the pan is hot is true, but I just sprinkle water in the frying pan.

Now if I have a pan full of oil to deep fry, I certainly wouldn't spit into it because then the oil would spit back at me and burn my s**y lips.  That would just be moronic.
