Showing promise in each of his last few games, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 Under-20 international Clement Grenier has come through leaps and bounds and after a gruelling Under-20 World Cup, the youngster is hoping for even better performances in 2012.

http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 academy player, Clement Grenier experienced all kinds of emotions with Les Gones. The momentum of a gruelling Under-20 World Cup in which he played for France and promising performances with OL during the month of September have showed
just why the youngster is considered to be the future of Lyon and France national team.
However, things changed for the youngster when he was injured during a training session. Fatigue and injuries have certainly hindered Grenier’s progress. However, the youngster played in Lyon’s last game against Evian TG but a red card in the second half
means that the midfielder will now miss two games for Lyon including a cup game against France-Duchere.
Currently, in a training camp at Corsica with the rest of his Les Gones teammates, the youngster spoke about his ambitions and troubles.
“I am satisfied and not with what I did (red card). When I played, I wasn’t too bad. Once there were these injuries and then I relapsed. I did not expect myself to play this well upon returning from the World Cup. Injuries hindered my growth,” the youngster
said while talking to Lyon’s official website.
Currently, Grenier’s path to a starting role is blocked by the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ederson-c11880. Just like fellow academy product Maxime Gonalons, Grenier also wants to become an integral part of the Lyon side.
However, Grenier is not worried about the competition he faces. The youngster said that he is learning a lot by training with Ederson and Gourcuff.
“Ederson and Gourcuff are great players. I learn from them. The coach told me about it (competition).”
The youngster also said that he is not looking to leave the club at all and is willing to keep on learning and growing as a player.
Lyon president, Jean-Michel Aulas should be reassured by Grenier’s sentiments especially if the Lyon supremo chooses to let go one of the two (Ederson and Gourcuff) in the winter transfer window.
