Clerical jobs...?

What kind of degree would you need in order to become one of the following?

Administrative Assistant

Office Clerk

Accounts Receivable/Payable

Bookkeeper

You might not need a degree at all.  For the accounts receivable/payable clerk or bookkeeper positions, you should take a beginning accounting class at a local community college.  I have an accounting degree, but I worked as a bookkeeper while going to college after taking only one or two accounting classees.  For the administrative assistant position, you should know how to type and how to use office computer programs (especially Word).

You'd need a general business degree. Most likely an associates degree would suffice. Aim higher.
