Clerk-Retail Inventory Control? what does it do?

  1. Depending on the store a clerk will wait on customers, ring up purchases on cash register and put out stock.  Inventory control just means that you are responsible for the stock when it comes into the store, you count the pieces in the box and compare it to the packing list to make sure nothing is missing, you may have to price the items, hang or fold and put out on the sales floor.  If you are applying for this type of job you really should just go to the store and watch the people who work there or ask them what they do.
