Cleveland Browns frustrated over falling far behind AFC North rivals – NFL News
Desperate times call for desperate measures, but the Cleveland Browns do not know where to start with. The regular season progresses fast and the team has only a pair of wins, and they want to go up in the American Football Conference (AFC) North division.
The problem is that the division is probably the most competitive in the league and the Browns are through to their worst form, and no one has clue how they can manage to beat the teams like the Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals.
At least coach Pat Shurmur has not provided an answer to it, so far. Whether he will be able to do so in the near future is itself remains a question. Their star performer quarterback Brandon Weeden is through to issues of his own.
Wide receiver Josh Cribbs, who is probably as tired of the so-called building and rebuilding processes of the team as any other member of the organisation, has a mantra about how they could do better, although it is difficult to implement and is well within
the current situation.
The player thinks taking on and defeating ‘bullies’ of the division will work, but he fell short of answering how can they do that. The team has a number of rookies in the side who again are part of the rebuilding process, and any commentator can safely
analyse that they are least likely to get past their competitors, in this season at least.
Cribbs nevertheless said:
"I feel like you have to. What other way can you? You can say we always play them well and fought hard, but the real test is taking advantage of our opportunities by winning, not by coming close.”
Away from Cribbs’ piece of advice, the team appears heading to the same old story of wrapping up the season with four or five wins. Only change this year is the change of ownership of the Browns to Jimmy Haslam. Some fans hope it might also change fortunes
for the team.
