Cleveland Browns guard Jason Pinkston prepares for return to action next season – NFL News
Cleveland Browns guard Jason Pinkston has miraculously recovered from a rare lungs disease and raring to return to action, which with his side now almost done with this regular season is possible from the 2013 season.
Jason said he has won another life after recovering from blood clots in lungs as doctors told him he could have died if he had continued playing unaware of it.
The player says he is lucky to be alive. He said he had been told by the doctors that a little hit in any part of the body near lungs could have taken his life.
He said:
“I could've probably died then so I'm all happy about it that I'm still here."
Now the guard said he is fully fit and has returned to some small workout, and preparing to join the team formally from the next season. He was speaking to media for the first time since being released from the hospital recently.
He said it was remarkable that the entire Browns’ organisation and particularly his fans have support him during the time of illness and it was where he received so much courage to fight off the illness.
The player admitted he has missed action at many occasions as he had wished to continue playing without an interruption but added that his health and fitness were more important.
Without saying much about performance of the Browns in his absence, he said he is keen on playing football again and will start working on his fitness and form again. He said he wanted to join the squad straightaway but will take some time and formally be
a part of the team from next season.
He also declined to comment on the Browns’ change of ownership, saying playing football is a priority for him and did not think of anything else.
Although the Browns still hold an outright chance for the playoffs, the season with three more games to go is almost over for them. If they win all three games, they will have to wait and see how the situation develops in the standings. The teams like the
Cincinnati Bengals are far and clearly ahead of them for the second wildcard race in the American Football Conference (AFC).
