Cleveland Cavaliers 26th straight loss equalizes Tampa Bay’s All - American record for most loses
Cleveland Cavaliers woes persisted as Detroit Pistons appended another defeat to their name. Cavaliers’ home court Quicken Loans Arena couldn’t change their misery as their losing-streak prolongs. It has been nearly two months
now the home team cherished a victory. Wednesday’s game resulted in Cavs’ 26th straight loss equalizing with Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the longest losing streak in the history of the American Major Sports.
The night started with the first quarter rout for the home team as Pistons took a comprehensive lead with 9 points. Cleveland’s anguish was pretty obvious with their play attempting dreadful shots and giving away too many free
throws as a result of fouls. The second quarters play seemed a little different however the result was the same. The visiting side managed to lead 30-27 amassing 12 points advantage as the game progressed to the first half.
Jamison strived to put the home team in a good situation though Stuckey kept his side along. Cavaliers took one point lead in the third quarter which didn’t create much of a difference. The final period also depicted some resistance
from the Cavs’ when it was too late. Cleveland amassed two points lead in the last quarter unable to cope up with the deficit. Detroit Pistons gathered another victory 103-94 on road matching the number of wins with Milwaukee. Pistons now stand at the eleventh
spot in the Eastern Conference determined to excel. A game-high 22 points was scored by two players Jamison and Stuckey from Cleveland and Detroit respectively.
Nothing seems to work for Cavaliers as another night ended in their discredit. Things changed astoundingly for the top performing team of the last season who now stands at the lowest ranking among both the conferences. LeBron James
departure in the preceding year turned around the franchise’s performance completely.
This season is half way through as cavaliers still haven’t acquired double figure wins. They stand at the 15th spot in the Eastern Conference with least number of wins 8 and most number of defeats 45.
Cleveland Coach Byron Scott said, “I'm mad as h**l. I can deal with losing, especially when guys are playing as hard as we did the last few games. I find it very hard to deal with when guys don't come out ready to play. That was
probably the worst effort we've had in a month. It's that simple. We didn't come ready to compete."
The coach is very upset with the players who are extremely dejected with their situation and seems to have lost hope completely. They don’t look determined to overcome this increasing bad patch. And if they stay like this most
probably result will remain the same.
