Cleveland Indians’ Manny Acta looks for more success – MLB News
The Cleveland Indians’ manager Manny Acta has expressed his satisfaction and happiness for the team’s decision to exercise his option for the 2013 season. The Indians fought their way into second position in the American League Central.
The fact that Acta’s hard work and competitive strategy proved helpful in the Indians rise to success makes him all the more important for the team. Acta was happy when asked how he felt to be in this place.
When the season kicked off, manager Acta had claimed that his team would take the American League Central crown. Although experts expressed their skepticism on the claim, Acta’s team corroborated their manager’s stance by achieving a record of 80-82. The
last time, they had won 69 of their games, losing all others.
This came despite the fact that injuries had plagued the team throughout the season and it was believed that the team no longer had the capacity to prevail over their rivals.
"To me, it wasn't going to change the way I was going to go about my business," Acta said.
Manny Acta has been supervising the team for a considerably long time now. When the team could manage to win only 69 of their games last year, there were talks that he might no longer be part of the team. However, he was retained last year so that he could
look over and instill confidence in his new team. It seems that he has succeeded in doing just that, if results are anything to go by.
"I made my decision to come here based on some facts," Acta said. "Over the last two years, they’ve been confirmed, which’s been our farm system, our young players that are making an impact at the big league level and my chances of being competitive and
eventually winning.”
Acta has been an integral part of the winning success that the Indians have achieved over the regular season. His dedication and commitment to the team has created a winning atmosphere for the club.
In the days to come, it will be interesting to see how he guides his team to the path of success.
