Cleveland Indians crush Detroit Tigers 9-6 – MLB Recap
The Cleveland Indians have yet again showed a spirited performance against the Detroit Tigers in the second straight game of their three-match regular series encounter as they defeated them 9-6 on Wednesday, June 6 at Comerica Park in 2012 Major League Baseball season and took away the series 2-0 with one game to spare.
Later in the game, the Cleveland manager Manny Acta stated in the media with detail about the balanced performance of his roster.
He said, "The championship goes through Detroit, They beat us up pretty good last year, the whole division, and they're a very good ballclub. It's still very early. Our bullpen once again proved to be our strength, but our offense was big too today,”
The entire Indians’ roster played well and proved a helping hand in their team’s win. From their batting offence to pitching prowess, the Tribe’s men never allowed any loop holes to the Tigers and in the end won with style.
Detroit manager Jim Leyland looked disappointed on his team’s poor effort. He gave an interview to some media personals and told them about the different aspects of his roster’s average performance.
Leyland said, "We had a little miscue and we didn't pitch above it, When you are going good, you make an error and the guy pops up the next pitch. When you are going bad, the guy hits a three-run homer on the next pitch."
The Indians from start of the game begun a positive thrust and in the very first inning took three runs lead.
Later with the help of left fielder Don Kelly’s homer, though the Tigers closed the gap with one run’s addition, but still the Indians had strong hold on their opponents’ offence and never allowed any big loop holes which resulted in a deserted win.
The remaining game of the series will be just another game for the Indians as they already proved their worth in first two games.
The Indians, in the meanwhile, are also sitting in a comfortable place ahead of Tigers in the American League Central Division with 30-25 win loss record along with .554 winning percentage.
