Yu Darvish put up a disappointed show for the Rangers and lost his accuracy when the Indians’ second baseman Jason Kipnis hit a perfect homer to his wavered fast delivery in the fifth innings. Kipnis’s homer gave his team a clear advantage of four runs in
the end which eventually turned out to be the final and winning score for the Indians.
"If the ball goes into the sun, what can you do? If this was the first loss ever in my life I would feel different, but I have experienced many losses. So now, I just prepare for my next game.” said Darvish.
Though the Rangers did try to make comeback in the eighth innings with two runs, but still could not match the level of brilliancy the Tribe was carrying throughout the game.
Despite Darvish played poorly and cost his team an eventual series decider, but the Rangers manager Ron Washington still did not say anything bad instead appreciated his role for the team.
Rangers’ manager Ron Washington said, “He pitched well enough to keep us in the game, but we didn't support him with runs, Sometimes you can throw well and not get results, if we could have put runs on the board when we had opportunities early.”
Later the Indians manager Manny Acta also stated for his team’s tremendous play in the media. He said, "We played a terrific series, anytime you take two of three from a team like that, it's very encouraging."
The Indians overall played well and never showed any loop holes to Rangers who eventually lost the game with big humiliation.
The Indians are now going to play against the Chicago White Sox while the Rangers’ are scheduled to play against the Baltimore Orioles.
