Cleveland Indians look to restructure Grady Sizemore’s option for 2012 season – MLB Update
The Cleveland Indians are finally thinking to restructure their centre-fielder Grady Sizemore’s option for 2012 Major League Baseball season. A renowned sport journalist has reported on Wednesday as the Indians top management has spoke to the Sizemore’s
agent and discussed his contract restructuring options of 8.5-million-dollars for the next seasons.
Though, nothing has been done yet, but some baseball experts have speculated in the media that the Indians’ are very keen to decide over their two potential players and their future commitments with the Cleveland Indians. Grady Sizemore, who is somewhat
more important player for the Indians and Fausto Carmona are the two main players on the waiting list.
The Indians’ general manager Chris Antonetti will be the last man who will decide which player will be playing for the Indians next season and who will be making his way out.
Antonetti also mentioned last week when he said, “We obviously have some meaningful and significant decisions coming, the direction we go with those decisions will largely shape what needs we might have. When Grady is healthy, he's been a very productive.
With Fausto, we're constantly working with him to get more consistent with the start to his delivery, and his mentality.”
Chris did not just talk about Sizemore as he also tried to clear the position of Carmona’s options. At the moment both players do not know where they will be heading but one particular fact will give some kind of satisfaction to Sizemore as his agent is
now in talks with the Indians’ top management.
Grady Sizemore knows his game pretty well and especially with the Indians where he has spent almost six years. Sizemore’s career, which was not considered to be on the right path, but as soon as he arrived in the Indians’ roster, he flourished with great
pace. He started to play with more consistency that later brought him more recognition.
Whether Sizemore will be given another chance or not in the coming days will be interesting to see as the Indians management, who has to take decision on this matter within three days after the conclusion of World Series.
