Cleveland Indians manager Manny Acta changes lineup – MLB News
The Cleveland Indians manager Manny Acta who is feeling that late team efforts in two regular series are not good enough to bring consistency in their results now wants to change the lineup for next encounters with top Major League Baseball team.
Jose Lopez along with Aaron Cunningham, Jason Donald and Lou Marson are the main players at the moment to play with different roles from next games on wards in the regulars.
Acta said lately on these potential changes which he thinks best for the team at the moment, "It's a combination of playing a lot of innings and facing a lefty, Mostly it's because of the amount of innings we've played.”
He added, “When you leave Arizona or Florida, you don't prepare these guys to 28 innings in the first two games and 37 in the first three. Given the opportunity, he might become the guy he was two or three years ago, That's not the case here, but we envision
him as the guy who could be very valuable to us as a guy coming off the bench against left-handers and giving a guy a breather here and there.”
Acta however, earlier some two days ago has also commented in the media as he feels enormous amount of trust on his starting rotation and lineup and if things remained well for all these players, which will ultimately barred his intentions to bring any potential
changes during the ongoing MLB season.
In the meanwhile his above comments suggest as now Acta feels more of an anxious manager who does not like back to back losses and wanting some kind of drastic change that will allow him to adjust well in the competition.
Still, for many this is an early stage where no one can judge any team’s results and future predictions on the bases of only two series losses. Indians are a talented side and if this late change which Acta expect to perform in the regular season, will be
giving them decent consistency. These all players are good and can adjust to their new roles whatever Acta will assign them.
