Cleveland Indians surpass Cincinnati Reds 3-2 – MLB Recap
The Cleveland Indians surpassed the Cincinnati Reds 3-2 in the second game of their-three match regular series encounter on Tuesday, June 19 at Progressive Field in 2012 Major League Baseball season.
The Indians are having a great time in this ongoing MLB season with their innovative offensive strategy. This is their second consecutive win against the Reds.
Winning the series 2-0 with one game to spare, the Indians are also roaring to oust every opponent who will give them somewhat tough match in the race towards post season qualification.
In Tuesday’s game, the Indians played as one unit and kept the Reds under pressure throughout the game.
Keeping the Reds under pressure for one extra inning, the Tribe’s men rattled their opponents with full force and eventually got a superb win.
Short stop Asdrubal Cabrera played brilliantly and proved one of the winning factors in the Indians win.
His homer to right field in the bottom of the tenth certainly gave the Indians a definitive win.
"My thought was, 'He's human,' There's no one in the game where you go and pick up the bats and gloves and go away. I gave them a little rah-rah talk. Sometimes it works." Indians’ manager Manny Acta said.
Later the Reds manager Dusty Baker also said on his team’s overall performance and the role Cabrera played for the Indians, "The game goes from jubilation to a downer on one swing, That's a tough one to take. He's human, What he was doing early in the year was unhuman. Asdrubal Cabrera's an All-star. He can hit. When they do catch up with Chapman's ball, he's supplying most of the power. If they catch up to it and center it, sometimes that's going to happen."
In the meanwhile, despite the game’s results, both teams’ starters played well and never lost their composure on the mound in their respective spells.
The Indians starter Josh Tomlin received only one run along with six hits while the Reds’ starting pitcher Mike Leake also remained his calm on the mound as he also received only one run in his seven innings.
