Manchester United’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Tom-Cleverley-c35218 has admitted that there is still a lot of room for improvement in his performances and that he is looking to enhance his abilities in the near future.
Many have gone on to label Cleverley as the successor to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-Scholes-c29394 at Old Trafford. However, a series of injuries have prevented the midfielder from making his mark on the team, while keeping him on the sidelines for longer than he would have hoped for.
The twenty two year old was highly impressive for Wigan last season and his performances made everyone expect big things from him, when he made his return to United.
However, with his injuries limiting his performances, he is yet to show just what he is capable of.
Nonetheless, the midfielder is looking forward to returning to the first team, while he has gone on to admit that he still has a lot to learn, before he would consider himself worthy of playing for United.
The talented midfielder, when talking about his abilities and the work that he is putting in to improve his ability is quoted to have said: "I've got a lot to learn.”
"I'm still working a lot with Rene [Meulensteen] and Mike [Phelan] on the training ground.”
"There are aspects of my game I want to improve. I want to start getting on the scoresheet. Even though I was playing well [at the start of the season], I feel like there's more [to come].”
"I like getting in the box and coming late on the edge of the box and that's just the one thing that I feel is missing."
United have lacked the presence of a technical midfielder, who can score goals, while helping create play.
The team has gone on to rely on their wingers and attackers to dictate play this season, but once Cleverley is fit, he is bound to break into the first team almost immediately.
It is now a wait to see just what the youngster can do, once he returns to the first team and starts playing regularly with the Red Devils.
