  1. HD-DVD is no longer a well supported format.  On Feb 19th, Toshiba, HD-DVDs top supporter, announced that they were no longer making HD-DVD players.  Most film studios (i.e. Warner Brothers, etc) have announced that they will no longer be distributing movies in the HD-DVD format.

Dont get trapped with an out of date HD-DVD player.

    By all means, go Blu-ray.

(If you want a technical / historic answer, well both sides said they were best.  There were advantages and disadvantages to both formats.  While I would not say either was 'best', a dual layer HD-DVD held a maximum of 30GB while a comparable Blu-Ray held 50GB, so you could argue Blu-Ray is/was better.  But what many say really helped Blu-Ray to win, was that Sony put one in all their Play Station 3 game boxes.   This allowed anyone who purchased a PS3 to automatically have a Blu-Ray player, and thus buy Blu-Ray movies.  This was enough of an advantage that the movie studios starting going Blu-Ray.)

  2. Blu Ray ROCKS!  it's like you're there!  it's sooooo clear...it's like nothing you've ever seen before.  i know i sound like a commercial...lol.  but it's TRUE!

  3. blu ray. because they are still in production.

  4. Blue Ray because HD is going the way of the dodo bird and Betamax
