Clichy praises Fabregas
Arsenal defender Gael Clichy has praised captain Cesc Fabregas after the Spaniard's brilliant performance against Braga.
Fabregas netted twice during the 6-0 win in Arsenal's first game of the Champions League this season. Clichy says Fabregas has put the speculation of the summer to one side and can get better at the club.
The Spaniard is likely to play a huge role in any success that Arsenal has this season. It's important that Fabregas keeps the North London club as his sole focus.
Fabregas has displayed a lot of professionalism so far this summer and will have a lot to think about over the next few months. It seems only a matter of time before his reported £30 million move to Barcelona
happens.
Great professionalism
It was clear over the summer that Fabregas wanted to link up with Barcelona and play in La Liga. He couldn't be blamed for getting annoyed with Arsenal and has shown a great attitude by continuing to give
his all for the club and Arsene Wenger.
When a football match starts Fabregas switches on and only thinks about Arsenal. He is not the sort of player to sulk on the pitch and it's clear he gives everything for Arsenal whenever he plays.
He is captain of Arsenal and the best player in the football club. It will be a big challenge for him if he eventually moves to Barcelona because he will not retain the benefits that he enjoys at Arsenal.
He is the main man at his current club and will have to work hard for a similar level of respect in Spain.
Clichy said: "Can he get better? I think so.
He is only 23 and the guy is already a world champion and European champion too so there is nothing more I can say about Cesc.
He showed last night and in the game before that he is the best and that he's an Arsenal player and he wants to win trophies for us.
He is showing everyone that he is a great player and a true professional."
Matter of time
Although it is not clear, a lot of pundits have suggested that Arsenal and Fabregas have an agreement where the Spaniard will leave for Barcelona at the end of this summer.
However, this is speculation and nothing has been decided.
The media interest around the move has been so strong, which suggests a heavy degree of truth. Barcelona has already had one offer turned down for the player and ran out
of time in the last transfer window to get a deal sorted. Negotiations are likely to continue in January or next summer.

Clichy added: "It's not easy to for him to forget what happened and
I think he has shown everyone that once he is fit and is ready to play then he is one of the best so we're glad to have him and I hope he stays here for many years."

Betting advice
Fabregas is the most creative midfield player that Arsenal has. He destroyed Braga in the Champions League game and is capable of scoring against any of Arsenal's opponent.
Never be afraid to back Fabregas to score at any time during a Premier League, domestic cup or Champions League game.
Arsenal has started the season well and the club still has a great outside chance to win silverware this season. The best bet will be Arsenal to win either the FA Cup or
the League Cup. The quality of the Premier League and Champions League will be too tough for the club to handle after the turn of the year.
