Click Easy takes the easy path to victory at Nottingham
In the world of greyhound racing, every dog tries to find the easiest path to victory. For some racers, it works out well in the end, but for others, it does not work as well. But for
those who do find the easiest path to the finish line, the taste of victory is sweet.
Click Easy (7-1) immediately clicked in the A2 race that was held during an exciting day of 500m races at Nottingham Greyhound Stadium. Coming out of trap six, he held an early pace which
he used to his advantage to win the race in 30.91 seconds. Even-odds favourite Faypoint Boy had a clear run, and finished two lengths behind the winner with a time of 31.07.
Third place was claimed by Aghaburren Perry (7-2), who crowded third, but quickly recovered to finish in 31.15, which was just a single length behind Faypoint Boy. Foot Stool, the long
shot on 10-1 odds in this race, moved slowly away and crowded third on the way to a fourth-place finish. His time of 31.29 was 1¾ lengths out of a top-three finish.
Sun Bound (7-1) finished fifth after crowing third. He was two lengths behind the fourth-place finisher with his time of 31.45. Rounding out the pack was Surf Bandito (3-1), who finished
last after moving slowly away and crowding third. He completed the race in 31.55, 1¼ lengths behind fifth place.
Later on, an A3 race was held that saw Romeo Vieri (5-1) pull off a close win. After a bounding start from trap two, he moved slowly away, but rebounded quickly to lead near the finish
line. He finished the race with a time of 30.93. Dawsonnationwide, the 2-1 favourite, crowded first, but led second en route to a finish in the number two spot in 31.01. He was 1 length behind Romeo Vieri.
Finishing in third place was Salacres Mike (3-1), who rounded out the top three with his 31.13 finish that was 1½ lengths behind second place. Ghost Fighter (9-4) fought hard in this race,
but ended up in fourth place with a time of 31.29. He was 2 lengths out of a top-three position.
Pakefield Tom (6-1) finished in fifth place after crowding first. His time of 31.47 placed him 2¼ lengths behind Ghost Fighter. Finally, 10-1 long shot Hammys Memory brought up the rear
in last place, finishing the race in 31.53 despite a clear run. He was ¾ lengths out of fifth place.
Greyhound racing returns to Nottingham Greyhound Stadium on Friday, 22 October with an exciting 15-race evening scheduled. The action begins with an A3 race at 18:28.
