Ok, so for my book, I'm either leaving it as a huge cliffhanger or giving it a nice 'oh I liked that ending' thing. Either way there will be a second book but I want to know which you people perfer or which you think I should do. the book is about undead people and the end of the world... sorta. That's why I need your help!

  1. I love cliffies! They are a good way to keep the readers hooked onto the story and looking forward to more! But they can be annoying sometimes when it comes to a life and death situation in the book and all the sudden it sais "to be continued". They also give people time to think about the desision they would make if they were the ones left with that choice.

  2. I prefer cliffhangers as a writer, it leaves the readers intrigued thinking about where the characters went to in life and in some ways they can be apart of the characters too, deciding which path they took even at the conclusion.

Something about an air of mystery makes me enthralled.

All the best and keep writing :)

  3. I like cliffhangers. And it is good for authors because they make the reader want to read the sequel. You should go for it.

  4. dont make it too big, like leaving them off the edge of a cliff, but its definetly better if there are a few questions left unanswered, like, how did this character die? or oh no! they've captured his mother! stuff like that is a great idea

  5. Cliffhangers are infuriating but will most likely increase sales with the second book.

I like Cliffhangers if there is another book coming (in the near future, not 6 months away) but I like solid endings if it's the end. I need closure. :]
