Most pathogens,have a short life cycle but a high reproductive rate.That is they have a greater chance of gene abnormalities.This is a example of natural selection and not evolution.The largest area of concern is in third world countries,they just can't afford the medicines.Climate change can have effects but it's based more on pollution then climate ie: smog gives way to opportunist pathogens especially to the young and older who obviously are more susceptible.Yes warming temperatures can have a influence as will as colder temps.This is noted from viral transmissions.In a nut shell this has been happening since creation.

  3. Clearly climate changes can affect the evolutionary process.  Also, a slight warming trend is enough to spread malaria to new areas as the mosquito carriers spread.
