  1. Also known as the Tourist Path, The Llanberis Path is not the shortest but is the easiest in terms of steepness and terrain and the path is obvious all the way up. Beware! Take good regard of the weather forecast, especially wind, and remember that Winter Conditions mean there is no easy way up Snowdon!

  2. Although the Llanberis path is technically the easiest, as its a levelish path all the way to the top, It does take ages to do so you will need to carry more food and water and it is a long slog back down which has more effect on your knee's and ankles than physically tiring you out. I usually go up the Miners Track and come down the Llanberis path. The first 2/3rds of the Miners track is really easy but the last third can be very steep although most of it has been built to make a proper route to follow. My wife is very scared of heights and cannot even climb up a 6ft ladder without shaking but with a little encouragement made it all the way up this route. The Llanberis path will be your best option and it does have a cafe half way up and even if the weather turns bad it is easy to follow as most of it runs nearby the railway tracks. Make sure you take adequate provisions and a waterproofs packed at the top of your rucksack for easy retrieval. Most important is your footwear - you must have good fitting boots not to tight or loose and have a spare pair of socks and a blister pad/plasters. You dont need a £100+ goretex super boot but remember your feet take all the strain so you must take care of them. Enjoy the mountain its amazing and you could always take the train up and walk down!  Email me if you need more.

  3. Get a good pair of water proof boots and break them in by walking in them every day, walk up some steep hills to train, and bring a small pack with some food, water, and a good Goretex jacket - be prepared and you will have fun even if the weather turns.

    Good Luck
