i've got a very dull complexion, few pimples that appear rarely, but leaves marks/black spots due to tampering. i visited a doc who suggested Clear gel (Clindamycin phosphate gel equivalent to clindamycin 1.0 % ) in the mornings & ApGel (Adaferin Adapelene gel 1.0 %) at nites. i used clear gel but it kinda makes my skin very oily... but adaferin is excellent... but i kinda feel they are forming pits & the marks have faded to some extent... very slow change. i also visited another dermatologist , who suggested Faceclin(Clindamycin & Nicotinamide Gel) for mornings & Glyaha Lotion (alpha Hydroxy Acid) at nites. Now the morning dose prescribed by both are actually the same coz it's only clindamycin 0.1 %. but for the nites im a little confused as to which one to stick on to .... adaferin or glyaha ???? also inbetween for 3 days or so i used Melalaite 15 (contains hydroquinone 2 %) & Adaferin only which gave me a radiant complexion. should i just stick on to adaferin & melalite or clindamycin & adaferin or alindamycin & glyaha lotion or clindalycin, melalite & adaferin or clindalycin, melalite & glyaha ???? im thoroughly confused .... i want to lighten my skin, remove the black spots & marks & get a glowing complexion ... kindly help

  2. Come on now... I highly recommend that you look into NOT just WHAT you are taking but what you're taking IS.  For example, clindamycin kills bacteria.  That's it.  It's not going to directly lighten the dark spots of your skin.  It might do it indirectly by removing infection, helping your skin heal (while you gently exfoliate, cleanse, repeat for weeks)... and eventually you have some surfaced skin layers that do not have dark spots.  OF COURSE your skin feels oily with clindamycin.  Nothing in it is not designed to make the antibiotic stay on your skin and ABSORB into your skin.  That being said, I think you should ask your Dr. to prescribe an oral clindamycin if it really bothers you.  They'll probably say no, because it will affect your whole body, not just your skin, possibly causing diarrhea or bacterial resistance over time not to mention that it can cause stomach pain... but you can always ask, right?

ApGel I think is for cell turn over.  This I'm not sure about but again YOU should research this, or ask your dr.  Know your meds.  If it is for cell turn over, it helps you exfoliate layers of skin (get rid of dark spots slowly, along with the clogged pores which get infected and make pimples which turn into dark spots).

No, the morning doses are not the same.  ApGel and Nicotinamide may be used for similar purposes (or might not, you research it) but they are DIFFERENT DRUGS.

    Hydroquinone is a skin bleacher.
