Can someone please explain why Clint Bowyer is not allowed to take the 07 owner points with him when he goes to the 33 car, seeing as other cars in the past have done it? What makes this time so different?

  1. Its up the officials to see fit but they had a reason to do so....its Nascar, what other sport can change or adjust rules as they go...NASCAR never follows there rules they always change and bend them when they see fit. It just makes things more confusing.

I also want to add they might buy the 01 car's points which sits in 29th in points to give to Clint so if that does happen then he will already be locked in the first couple of races...

  2. cuz that's not want Childress wants

  3. Well Richard Childress has the say on where the points go. I think he is making a mistake by throwing Clint under the bus like that but I guess he must have his reasons.

  4. I do not think that they were not allowed to, I do not think that RCR petitioned NASCAR to allow them to do it. RCR said there is more stuff in the works, so my opinion, is that he is looking at buying someone's owner points to use for the 33 car and Clint.

  5. I think that after the whole Kurt Busch / Sam Hornish fiasco last year, that maybe NASCAR has decided that teams will no longer be able to swap points.  On the other hand, its NASCAR and they seem to make rules on the fly and not always remember what they are as they go along.
