Clinton - Bloomberg? Is this why Hillary is still in the race?

Is Hillary still in the race to garner support for a Clinton - Bloomberg ticket? Split the vote 3 ways and she just may pull it off!

Umm.. no.  Too many dems vote dem because it's the only lever they know how to pull.  To be fair, there are a number of republicans who do the same thing.  Doing so would guarentee a McCain victory.  Basically, your 3 way split assumes that either dems would win 66/33 in a 2 way race(Not a reality) or the McCain supports would go to Clinton in the general election(also not a reality).  Instead, the likely outcome would be something like 15% Clinton, 32% Obama, 53% McCain.  I give McCain a 3% edge because he appeals to moderates more then either Clinton(Left leaning moderates) or Obama(Socialists, Commies, and people out of touch with reality to see that Jimmy Carter didn't work the first time around, he's not going to work in different packaging), and all Republicans will vote for McCain.

Hahahahahaha.  No.  That's even crazier than the scenario the Clinton campaign actually dreams up.  Clinton knows this would scuttle her chances at the presidency AND a return to the senate.

It can't happen. They are both from the same state. The President and Vice President have to be from different states. Read the Constitution!

Hillary gets nominated and elected--she's the President of the Unite States , perhaps the most powerful figure on this planet.

She fails to get nominated, she goes back to being the junior senator from NY, with next to no influence whatsoever over the next president, and Bill goes from being first Gentleman back to being just another ex-president who no one pays any attention to..

Their egos simply could not tolerate this. It's all down hill from here, Bill & Hillary.
