Clinton Portis a bust??

Question

I really wanna take Clinton Portis but my concience is telling me hes gonna be a bust, what do you guys think????

not much of a choice. if you look at the rb's in that range, he has the best situation of all except barber:

marshawn: inconsistent, off-field troubles, historically buffalo RB's have been iffy.

larry johnson: great RB, but the team has serious problems this year. he may end up with 300 carries but only 900 yards and 5 td's.

Mcgahee: flashes of brilliance, but otherwise mediocre and often injured.

jones-drew: RBBC situation limits stats, but will shoot up past portis if fred taylor is injured before opening day.

gore: bad team, injuries.

grant: new qb.

No, he's healthy and worthy of a first round pick without a doubt.

You could be right.  More often than not, in recent years he has been hurt or unable to perform.  With the exception of last year.  He is still worth taking because he doesn't split carries.  But there is no way, I would waste a first round pick on him.  Sorry Chief
