Question:

Clip Photo Frames 12" x 8"

Hi guys - trying to figure where can I buy frames, sized in inches rather than in metric sizes, in particular - clip frames (i.e. border-less). An only type I know is StarFish frames, which are measured in metric, and my favorite photobox.com prints only in imperial sizes, so photo sizes don't match - pisses me off. Online store or store in London will work nicely.

  1. I know that supermarkets that sell photoframes work in inches.  They are usually quite cheap but durable and effective.  The main ones are :

    ASDA

    TESCO

  2. Try Wilko

  3. As you've found frames come in two standards today, the old 'standard' photo sizes (10" x 8", 7" x 5 ", 6" x 4 " etc.) and in printer paper sizes (A4, A3, A6 etc.). 12" X 8" is none standard, A4 (11.675 X 8.25) is pretty close..

You can, of course, go to a glass merchant and have any size of picture glass cut, then use a piece of hardboard the same size and clip frame clips (the glass merchant might have them) and cheaply make any size you like.
