Clip on hair extensions questions?

Question

I have short hair that just won't grow, but I don't want to spend a thousand dollars on real extensions. I heard that there are clip-on extensions that are much cheaper and not permanent, but other than that I don't know anything about them.

How much do they cost? Could I put them in myself? Are they really noticeable and obvious?

My friend got some clip in ones. They may or may not be noticeable. My friend has the real hair ones and they cost almost 300 dollars. They are not really that noticeable. But if you get fake ones they can be cheaper but they may be noticeable. The hairdresser will probably have to put them in the first time because they will have to be cut to your hair style.

I don't mean to be rude, but I think hair clips would look really tacky...

If I were to get extensions I would get real extensions

There are clip on extensions at Sally's Beauty Supplies. Just go there, and they have REAL hair extensions, the longest ones are 40 inches, I think. And they're only 40$. There are shorter ones that range from 8$ and up. You can either buy glue, and glue them in or you can clip it on. I glued mine before and it was perfectly fine. They're not noticable unless you put them on weird, or it's a different hair color.
