  1. Trim  wing feathers is easy to do,  but is better you take your bird to an avian  vet and see how the trim must be done, and after you could do it for yourself. If you cut too much it could cause bird wing bleeding.

  2. Why take away a bird's ability to fly? Thats mean, I don't believe in wing clipping.

But PLEASE, since you don't know what your doing, PLEASE take the animal to someone who knows how so it does not get hurt if you mess up.

  3. I don't know but I would take him in somewhere, have them do it, and ask them how. Some people on here give good advice but others might not know 100% and you would not want to take that chance on your little guy. Ask someone who knows for sure. Good Luck!

  4. dont cut ur  budgies feathers...how would u like it it someone cut off your feet???? birds are ment to FLY  =/

  5. You can trim the wing feathers yourself but you should have someone who knows how to do it show you before you try it.  Take your bird to the breeder or an avian vet and ask them to show you how many feathers to clip (it's different for each bird) and how to identify a blood feather.

New feathers still growing are attached to a blood supply.  If you accidentally cut one of the blood feathers, your bird could bleed to death unless you know the *correct* way to remove the entire feather shaft.  They usually appear as black or dark purple feather shafts.  But have someone show you.  They'll also show you how many feathers to clip and how far back to clip them.  A "bad clip" is terribly irritating to a bird, could cause feather picking and/or could damage the feather shaft.

It isn't difficult to do but you and your bird will both feel better if you've been shown how.
