Clock ticking for PSG’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Guillaume-Hoarau-c15332 – Ligue 1 news
Paris Saint-Germain striker Guillaume Hoarau is set to return to first-team action after the winter break. The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international dislocated his shoulder in the month of August and since then has been missing from action.
Reports in French media now suggest that the 27-year-old striker’s career at PSG hangs in the balance as he faces stiff competition for a place in the starting XI upon his return. In six months, the PSG striker must prove that he can integrate into the ambitious
PSG side otherwise a departure from the Parc des Princes seems to be promised.
After playing just three games for PSG in the Ligue 1 this season, Hoarau dislocated his shoulder and his chances of becoming an automatic selection are thin. Currently, Antoine Kombouare prefers using a 4-23-1 formation which is heavily reliant of Javier
Pastore’s playmaking skills. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kevin-Gameiro-c20721 plays the role of an undisputed lone striker.
Currently, Hoarau will have to start from the bench when he returns and will face battle for number 2 striker from Turkish international Mevlut Erdinç. Though Hoarau and Erdinç will be getting some game time this season, it still seems that the duo would
be let go of by the end of the current campaign if not in the upcoming winter transfer window.
Les Rogue et Bleu are now looking to build a team of stars and Hoarau is fully aware that he might not be in part of the club’s new plans any longer despite being an integral part of the team since his arrival from Le Havre in 2008.
Furthermore, after impressing Laurent Blanc in French colours, Hoarau also needs regular game time in order to make it to the French squad which will play in the Euro 2012 in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ukraine-c3032. With Blanc already saying that there are still places up for
grabs, Hoarau has a small chance of making it to the squad despite missing most part of Les Bleus’ qualification process since August.
Under contract at the Ile club until 2013, Hoarau has not been offered a contract extension and the 27-year-old could consider packing up as soon as the winter transfer window opens in order to find a club where he can have enough game time in order to be
a part of the French national side in next year’s European championships.
