Clockwork Orange costume complications?

I'm putting together an Alex DeLarge costume, but I'm not sure about the cod piece, namely because I'm a chick. Accuracy is important to me, so I'd like to do it as close to Malcolm McDowell's as possible (as opposed to a more feminized version with a short skirt or something).

Any suggestions?

Just buy a regular codpiece and stuff it with socks. A lot of guys do this to look bigger, so it should work with girls that want to appear more guylike too.
