Question:

Clomid 6 weeks preggers but they didn't see a pregnancy in my uterus or an ectopic.?

Today, at exactly 6 weeks since LMP, my HCG is just over 3,000 on clomid 3-7 50mg.

When doing the u/s she found no gestational sac, and no fetal pole I don't know if I should be worried. Is it just too early to tell? I have to go back on Wednesday, but feel optimistic, very, very, very caustically optimistic.

So, to all you pregnant mamas out there, can someone please help me understand when a fetal pole should be present? We want this to be true so badly, but are so fearful. All I want is to see that lil bean on the monitor, and hear a heartbeat. Any words of wisdom?

  1. A fetal pole is usually seen really early in a pregnancy even when a sac is not.  There  could be many reasons for not seeing either.  One could be the baby never formed (chemical pregnancy)  With my 4th baby (I lost the three prior to miscarraige) at 5 1/2 weeks I started bleeding and had a U/S and no sac or fetal pole was detected.  I was told I had miscarried and was referred to a OB 2 days later.  When they did the ultrasound there was my baby, in the sac and with a heartbeat.  The Dr. said the U/S equipment must have been faulty so don't give up hope!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. it's normal to not see anything you are too early  no one can really pin point when exactly you conceived so they go by your lmp , so sometimes it doesn't show until 10 weeks and sometimes you can't hear the heartbeat before 12 weeks

    don't stress

  3. If it were ectopic, usually you would have symptoms by now. My sister in law didn't even know she was pregnant and her fallopian tube was ruptured - there was a lot of pain prior to it for 3 days.

6 weeks is really early to be able to see anything for sure. I am sure by 8-12 weeks, everything will be known. Keep the faith and I hope with you that everything turns out well!!! I'm sure you're fine!

  4. Stay strong Red and don't worry they are talking about a heart beat that's what a fetal pole is and about six weeks they should be hearing a heart beat.

  5. That is weird that you didn't even see a sac. You won't be able to actually see the baby inside the sac till usually around 8-9 weeks. I wish you luck hun!

  6. chancs are you ovulated really late because your hcg at 6 weeks is way over 20,000 you are closer to 4.5 weeks and they may just not see anything for another week stop the clomid asap though good luck you'll be ok
