I am on my 3rd cycle of clomid (100mg).I have PCOS and have been TTC for 18months. I had a follicle tracking scan today (CD 16) and i have a 20mm follicle and I will most likely ovulate in the next 2 days. I have not yet detected my LH serge...Is this normal...???

They also looked at my lining and said it was perfect...Fingers crossed this is my month...Please Lord!!!

Is there anyone with a clomid success story and how many cycles did it take?

Thanks and babydust to all those TTC.

xx

  1. Yes it's totally normal not to have the LH surge until 12 hours before ovulation. Normally they says 12-36 hours, so maybe you're on the short side of that. Remember tat Clomid can delay ovulation; my RE office says they average the effects of Clomid as 4 days late (4 days on ovulation, and then of course, 4 days on testing!)

  2. Yes that is normal. The LH surge come 12-24 hours before ovulation. I was on clomid 100mg days 5-9 for two cycles and on the 2nd cycle it worked. I actually had two follicles that were ready but only one released.

    Good Luck

  3. Just keep testing around 2pm every day it will arrive soon.

    Good luck.

  4. I'm wondering why your doctor didn't give you an HcG trigger to induce ovulation. 20mm is mature follicle, you don't wan to wait for it to over-mature.

I did six unsuccessful cycles of Clomid and had do do injectables to get pregnant.
