  1. My first cycle was like that but my second cycle was way better. AF was only 4 days and very very light. I also got pregnant on my 2nd cycle so there's hope.

  2. well today is currently Cycle Day 13 off of clomid...Is this your first round and what mg where you put on....Im took 100mg this cycle...last I didn't ovulate (50mg)...well my last cycle I had absoulutly no side effects...but this one...girl let me tell you....My Headhurts...Im always tired...Hot Flashes....and the worst of all...I have a real discomfort feeling in my stomach all the time...since the first day I began taking the pills (CD 5) till today.....many womens side effects while on clomid vary....and your seem to fit in fine...well best of luck and tons of baby dust

  3. I have not taken Clomid yet, but been looking into it.  I found somewhere that hot flashes are normal, as they are due to the low estrogen levels it makes your body have in order for your brain to produce more estrogen, fsh, lh,  to make you ovulate.  Goodluck and baby dust to you!!!

  4. There is a magic word which is missing in your question: Ovulation.

Clomiphene can help women who don't ovulate get pregnant by stimulating the ovaries to produce an egg and ovulate.

So the most important information you must know is whether Clomid worked or not. Did you ovulate or not?

Answering the ovulation question will help you answer your other questions.

Clomiphene citrate (the brand names are Clomid and Serophene) has been on the market for over 25 years. The exact mechanism of clomiphene is not well understood, but in women who produce estrogen it increases certain hormones (LH, FSH). This in turn causes the follicle to grow, it triggers the LH surge and thus induces ovulation.

  5. Hi,

I suffered the same thing, I have just gone through the 1st cycle of clomid (currently at day30). My bleed was extremely heavy and lasted 10days... then just stopped. I didn't have hot flashes though. Have you been tracking your temperature? If not, I suggest going to fertilityfriends.com and using their temp tracking chart. This way you can track the fluctuations in temp, and you will know when u ovulate.

I am hoping it worked for me, having a lot of pregnancy symptoms, but no positive tests yet! fingers crossed!

I tried clomid about 5 years ago for 3 cycles with no luck, so trying again. I have PCOS and am finding it hard and frustrating to conceive.

Good luck mate, don't lose hope... but if u have any other symptoms see your gynae, as some people have an allergic reaction - but very rare.
